We continue studying (cohomological) support varieties. In particular, we will complete the proof that the definition yields a variety, based on our previous study of the Shamash-Eisenbud resolutions, and describe some examples. We will then see other ways to characterize the support variety, and some interesting results that studying support varieties has yielded.
