Given an extension of dg algebras obtained by adjoining \(\Gamma\) variables, we discuss a criterion under which the extended dg algebra is a resolution. We define the projective version of cohomological support varieties, as introduced by Pollitz, which generalizes Avramov\'s definition. We will then discuss some of its properties.
