• Lecture 1: Topic: TASEP and ASEP -- models and large-scale behavior
Introduction to the basic models and some classical results on their large-time behavior, including limit shapes, hydrodynamics, and second-class particles
• Lecture 2: Topic: Combinatorial and geometric structures
An introduction to some of the combinatorial and geometric structures associated with TASEP/ASEP, including multispecies and periodic models, multiline queues, last-passage percolation, and RSK correspondence.
••••• September 24, 2026 is not scheduled •••••
• Lecture 3: Topic: Second-class particles and fluctuations
Connections between second-class particles, interfaces, and fluctuations, with some discussion of the KPZ picture and the stochastic six-vertex model.
• The division is tentative, and I may move some topics between lectures to keep the progression natural.
