Program Overview
The 4-semester M.Sc programme is carefully designed to impart essential knowledge in Mathematics with opportunities for specialization in all major areas of pure and applied mathematics. In the first two semesters the focus is on core courses. Students have to do three core courses in the third semester along with two elective courses. In the last semester the students have the option to choose courses from a list of special topics. Students having CGPA at least 7.5 at the end of third semester have the option of doing a thesis dissertation in lieu of an elective course. They also have to present a seminar on a topic of their choice at the end of the third semester and appear for a viva voce at the end of fourth semester.

Structure of the Program
The program consists of 4 semesters and has a total credit of 204.
Career Prospects
The course structure enables students to get admission for higher studies in India and abroad in Mathematics, Computer Science and Management. They also get placement in Industries and Educational Institutions. Of late, software industry has shown special interest on our students.
