Pair correlation is a well-known statistic for studying finer structure than equidistribution. We will discuss an analytic way of calculating pair correlation for sequences in a torus. This includes joint work with Mithun Das and Tanmoy Bera. Talk will be essentially self-contained and accessible to a general audience.
