Vaibhav completed Integrated M.Sc in Mathematics from NISER, Bhubaneswar. He then finished his Ph.D at the University of Utah under the advisorship of Prof. Anurag K. Singh in 2022. After this, he joined Purdue University as a Visiting Assistant Professor for a year and then was an INdAM visiting fellow at the University of Genova, Italy. Following this, he was a Golomb Visiting Assistant Professor at Purdue before joining IIT, Madras in May, 2026.
