Abstract :

This is an introductory lecture on the subject Chaos Theory. In the talk, we will study how a simple model shows complicated dynamic behavior. More precisely, I will give a simple proof of the results period three implies chaos and also illustrate an example of functions with period five that will not necessarily imply chaos. This talk is from the famous paper "period three implies chaos" by Tien-yien Li and James A. Yorke.
