The two year M.Tech program in Industrial Mathematics and Scientific Computing is a unique program that provides the student rigorous training in computational science, mathematics and statistics with a strong focus on modelling, simulating and solving problems of relevance to the industry. The blue-ribbon program has been successful in attracting top quality students and companies for more than 20 years. The curriculum aims at inculcating strong foundations in linear algebra, statistics, optimisation, data analysis, visualisation, numerical methods and programming. Students learn to work together in teams and are trained to effectively communicate their mathematical and technical training.

Structure of the Program
The program runs in 4 semesters having several core and elective courses and lab sessions.
After successful completion of this programme, the students are absorbed in research oriented industries, doctoral programs in leading universities, as well as software based companies. Interested M.Tech students with a good CGPA also have the option of converting it to integrated Ph.D. program.
