Abstract :

The most commonly used methods to solve flow problems numerically are Finite Difference, Finite Element, and Finite Volume. But for problems with fast-changing geometry or free surface flow these methods can be quite complicated and time-consuming. In such situations, Grid-free based methods can be extremely useful. In this talk, we shall study the Finite Pointset Method which is one of the Grid-free methods based on least square approximation.
