Abstract :

I will start with an overview of Siegel modular forms/representations and Hecke operators on them. I will then discuss Urban's construction of eigenvarieties, which p-adically interpolate Hecke eigenvalues as these forms vary. We will then discuss points on such eigenvarieties coming from Yoshida lifts of classical modular forms. This is joint work with Tian An Wong.
